The 2016 BSFBB Awards

Presenting…the 2016 Best of San Francisco By Billy Awards!  (Yeah, they’re a little late.  But I’m sure you don’t mind.  And after this, it’s finally on to India!)

Best Day: There was one day that blew me away. Day 4. The Mission and the Castro. Admittedly, it was largely due to the murals of the Mission. San Francisco, United States, North America.

The Mission (Part 1)

Welcome to Day 4–the day that blew me away.  The Mission District is a predominantly Latino neighborhood, but it is quickly gentrifying.  It is named for Mission Dolores, in the northwest part of the [Read more…]

South of Market (Part 2), Market Street, and Union Square

SoMa (Part 2)

There are more museum pictures ahead, but don’t worry.  I make it out of the museum and spend pretty much the rest of the day outside taking pictures. [Read more…]

North Beach (Part 1), Russian Hill, and Washington Square

I took a lovely walk through Chinatown on the way to North Beach in the morning.  The borders between the 2 neighborhoods are getting very blurry. [Read more…]
