Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco, California, United States

Home sweet home.  I’ve driven cross country 6 1/2 times, and I’ve driven New York to Florida round-trip twice.  So I’ve seen quite a bit of the country.  The biggest metro areas I haven’t been to are Atlanta and Detroit.  So that makes me feel that Southern and Midwestern tours are in my future.  The only question would be whether I would do the tours traditional American-style (by car) or traditional Billy-style (by bus and train).  Time will tell.

I’ve done in-depth explorations of two American metropolises:  San Francisco, my current home, and Boston, my former home.  Actually, I’m in the midst of touring San Francisco, so that one is still coming along.  I will be adding my pictures and travelogues from my tours of Boston and San Francisco at a later date.

Regions:

The US is too big to tackle in one chunk.  It’s best broken down into geographic regions.

Northeast

Southeast

Midwest

Southwest

West

Hawaii  (The only US state located outside of North America.  It’s located in Polynesia, to be specific.)

Puerto Rico (The US’s largest territory in the Caribbean.)

Guam (The US’s largest territory in Micronesia.)
