In 2008, I toured the major cities of northwest Italy (Milan, Turin, and Genoa), along with some of the stunningly beautiful areas outside the cities. Yes, the food was as fantastic as the scenery. I even took a Mediterranean cruise. Well, okay, it was a 10-minute ferry from one coastal village to another. But I’ll take it. I can’t wait to return to the Mediterranean one day, whether it’s along the Italian coast or at Barcelona or some other dream vacation spot. And someday, I will finally get to Rome, the Eternal City, home of the ancient culture that I’ve admired eternally since learning world history.
At a later date, I will post my pictures and travelogues from my trip to northwest Italy.
