San Francisco 2016 Food Diary, Day 6

Francisco and I had breakfast at the Pier 39 outlet of Boudin Bakery.  Boudin has been around since Gold Rush times and is famous for its sourdough bread.  Breakfast was terrible (not unexpected for Pier 39 dining).  I had sourdough French toast with cinnamon, sugar, whipper butter, and syrup served with season fruit.  The French toast tasted reheated.  I got a chocolate croissant because it really good in the case.  With tax and tip, it cost $5 and it was lousy.

San Francisco 2016, Day 5

The Richmond and the Presidio

The Richmond

I was really excited about Day 5.  I was looking forward to traipsing around the Presidio, an iconic San Francisco site I had never been to.  And most of all, I was looking forward to getting up close and  [Read more…]
